Become a GPNEMBA member & help us BEAT BOSTON!

Let’s become the biggest Chapter in the NEMBA network<!–

Hey you — a rider on our GPNEMBA email list who is not a current GPNEMBA member (gasp)!

We’d really like your support as an active member (you can click right here to become one today)… but you’re asking yourself “Why do these maniacs need my $45?”

1) Bragging rights. After growing by nearly 200 members since the start of April, we are at 573 members — the 2nd biggest Chapter in the entire NEMBA network of 36 Chapters. You know who’s the biggest? BOSTON. Last time I checked, we never backed down from a challenge put up from Massholes from away! If every other person getting this exact email signed up for a GPNEMBA membership, we’d officially become the #1 Biggest and Baddest Chapter in the NEMBA network. I like the sound of that, don’t you?

2) Because we’re using your money to make Greater Portland a world-class mountain bike community, and your membership funds support our volunteer trail crews every week. In just the last week, we used membership funds to buy better rock-carrying totes & webbing that allowed our Falmouth/Windham Trail Crew to nearly fill a 20-foot pond at the top of #1/E Line in East Windham with rock to raise the trail in just one night, making it rideable regardless of the weather. We’re ordering lumber (after getting an agreement with Hammond for discounted supplies!), and getting all the tools for upkeep at Riverton Bike Park. We’re building an epic wood skinny line and two new dirt jump lines in the Lavoie Bike Park in Gorham. And that’s not even mentioning the new trails we’re building…

3) Because a generous GPNEMBA member is matching all new & renewed memberships this spring up to $2,000. Enough said. Thank you, Tony!! We’re also in the running to win $500 in tools from Backslope Tools if we sign up more members than any other NEMBA Chapter (refer back to point #1).

4) Because you get great discounts & are eligible for some mintly sweet prizes. Folks who join, donate or renew before the end of the weekend will be eligible to win a host of prizes including bike park passes, a Thule hitch rack, or a brand-new Cannondale Habit.

As well, all members get 20% off Highland bike park lift tickets, 30% off Trailforks Pro, $10 off Cranmore & Loon Mtn bike park tickets, 15% off any Dynamic Cycling Adventures clinics, 20% off Pelli Bike Care products, and more. We’re working on discounts from local retailers, too!

Did I convince you yet? If so, please renew your GPNEMBA membership today. Together, we’re going to make this place world-class.

Ryan Dunfee
GPNEMBA President
